HVAC and Control Circuit Applications
Designed for compatible applications including:
- HVAC equipment
- Furnaces
- Air handlers
- Thermostats
- Contactors
- Relays
- Low-voltage control panels
- Equipment control circuits
Always verify the required input voltage, output voltage, VA load, wiring configuration, and equipment specifications before installation.
Multi-Tap Primary Wiring
The transformer provides individual primary leads for 120V, 208V, 240V, and 480V AC systems, plus a common lead.
According to the product wiring information shown:
Black: Common
White: 120VAC
Red: 208VAC
Orange: 240VAC
Gray: 480VAC
Only the appropriate primary tap for the actual supply voltage should be used.
24VAC Secondary Wiring
The secondary output is supplied through:
Blue: 24VAC secondary
Yellow: 24VAC secondary
The transformer is rated 75VA at 24VAC, corresponding to a nominal rated secondary current of approximately 3.125A.
Built-In Circuit Protection
The integrated 4A resettable breaker adds protection to the transformer secondary/control circuit.
This 4A breaker rating should not be interpreted as a 4A continuous transformer output rating. The transformer's actual rated output remains 75VA, or approximately 3.125A at 24VAC.
Installation Considerations
This is a foot-mounted transformer intended for installation within compatible equipment or electrical enclosures.
Before installation, verify:
- Primary supply voltage
- Correct primary tap
- 24VAC secondary requirements
- Total connected VA load
- Wiring color identification
- Mounting space
- Required overcurrent protection
- Applicable electrical codes
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with HVAC and electrical control circuits.
