The Shopcorp BMC7-63U 2 Pole Modular Contactor is designed for compatible HVAC, lighting, automation, control panel, and electrical switching applications requiring a 24V AC/DC control coil.
It features two normally open main contacts, rated 63A for AC-1 applications and 25A for AC-3 applications, with a 250V AC rated working voltage. Its compact modular design supports 35 mm DIN rail mounting, making it suitable for distribution boxes, electrical panels, HVAC controls, and automation enclosures.
24V AC/DC Control Coil
The contactor operates through A1 and A2 coil terminals using a 24V AC or DC control signal.
When the coil is energized, both normally open contacts close simultaneously to switch the connected load. A front status indicator provides a quick visual reference of the contactor operating state.
2 Pole Normally Open Configuration
The BMC7-63U includes two normally open main contacts:
1–2
3–4
Both poles switch together when the control coil is energized.
63A AC-1 and 25A AC-3 Ratings
The contactor is rated:
- AC-1: 63A
- AC-3: 25A
- Rated working voltage: 250V AC
- Impulse withstand voltage: 4kV
- Short-circuit rating: 5kA
The 63A AC-1 rating applies to resistive or slightly inductive loads, while the 25A AC-3 rating applies to properly matched motor-control applications.
For motor applications, the contactor should not be selected based only on the 63A AC-1 rating.
HVAC, Lighting and Control Applications
Suitable for properly matched applications including:
- HVAC control panels
- Lighting circuits
- Distribution boxes
- Building automation
- Household automation
- Electrical control panels
- Pumps and fans within the published AC-3 rating
- Low-inductive motor control
- Commercial and industrial switching systems
DIN Rail Installation
The compact body is designed for 35 mm DIN rail mounting and uses screw terminals for the main power and control connections.
Approximate dimensions:
Width: 36 mm / 1.4 in
Height: 86 mm / 3.4 in
Depth: 68 mm / 2.7 in
